SUMMARY:Capstone (CLC) - Grade 12's Only
DESCRIPTION:A Capstone is a culminating project\, presentation\, or perfor
 mance that allows students the opportunity to consolidate and showcase th
 eir learning from their school and life experiences into a meaningful and
  relevant product. Students will use innovation\, cross curricular knowle
 dge\, and critical thinking skills in an area of interest as the basis fo
 r the project\, which is applicable to a real- world concept.  The Capsto
 ne will:  •              Help students make connections between what they
  are learning now and what they hope to see in their future.  •          
     Provide students with focused\, structured\, authentic\, and experien
 tial learning\; responsibility for meeting timelines\, making decisions\,
  conducting research\, preparing and making presentations – all transfera
 ble skills needed for success in the workplace.  •              Identify 
 a new opportunity\, either for an existing entity or for the creation of 
 a new venture\; and implement the necessary skills they have built to lau
 nch their own entrepreneurial proposal\, research project\, service pursu
 it\, event or product.      •              Ensure students meet the BC Mi
 nistry graduation competencies (Communication\, Creative and Critical Thi
 nking\, Personal and Cultural Identity\, Personal Awareness and Social Re
 sponsibility) through the development of the following skills:  •        
       Effective communication (oral and written) Public Speaking\, Resear
 ch Skills\, Media Literacy\, Teamwork Planning and Organization\, Self-aw
 areness and Advocacy\, Goal Setting\, Time Management\, Networking and me
